I am Yesica Lemus, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to providing intentional and thoughtful support to individuals seeking insight and healing. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, difficulty adjusting to changes, generational trauma, self-esteem concerns, and challenges in relationships. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking insight into their emotional and behavioral patterns.
As a first-generation therapist, I bring a unique perspective to my work with clients. I understand what it means to exist between two cultures and navigate the nuances and stressors of everyday life within that context. Additionally, I have a profound understanding how your life can change after the death of a loved one. When a death occurs, your world stops however the rest of the world keeps moving and it can feel impossible to find a way to keep up. I strive to honor the individuality of each person’s mental health and grief journey, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing.
I approach each client with a holistic and compassionate mindset. Utilizing cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and narrative therapy techniques, I approach sessions with cultural sensitivity and understanding, honoring the diverse perspectives and identities of those I work with.
I believe that every person has a unique inner power that can help them adapt, grow, and thrive. I aim to empower my clients to discover their inner strengths, cultivate resilience, and craft a life of mental wellness. Together, we can work towards creating a life that is meaningful and authentic to you.
“Grief and resilience live together.” Michelle Obama, Becoming.
