Ruth Nesteroff, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

My name is Ruth Nesteroff, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My education and experience in the mental health field have provided me with strong clinical training to support individuals navigating life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem concerns.

If you are feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or numb in your grief, you are not alone. Grief can feel deeply isolating and may show up as changes in sleep or appetite, difficulty concentrating, or emotional exhaustion. In our work together, we will create a safe, supportive space where you can explore and process your loss at your own pace. My goal is to offer practical tools that help you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered as you move forward.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I value active listening and strive to provide a calm, patient, and supportive presence. I view therapy as a collaborative process—we will work together to create goals that feel meaningful, realistic, and responsive to your growth. As you gain new insights, your treatment plan will naturally evolve to continue supporting your progress.

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, and exploring your goals. I’ll answer any questions you may have, explain my approach, and begin working with you to build a plan that feels safe, supportive, and tailored to your needs.
