I believe my purpose is to help and advocate for children—those who are often unheard, unseen, and misunderstood. Every child deserves the chance to fully embrace the joys and wonders of childhood. I also believe that when individuals—whether children or adults—are nurtured at their foundation, they are better equipped to face life’s challenges with resilience and courage.
Born and raised in Houston, my career has been inspired by the children and families of this diverse city I call home. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Wellness from the University of Texas at San Antonio and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and currently training toward Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credentials.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and their families, using Child-Centered and Adlerian Play Therapy models and blending directive and non-directive techniques. When working with adults, I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to identify practical solutions and empower meaningful change. I also integrate mindfulness, grounding, sand tray, breathing, and art-based techniques, valuing a holistic approach that addresses all areas of life.
A strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I focus on building genuine connection and trust, and when working with children, I believe strengthening the parent–child bond is a powerful part of healing. Being bilingual in Spanish allows me to serve families from diverse backgrounds.
While my niche is working with children, my LPC-Associate journey encouraged me to expand my practice to include adults. I find it deeply meaningful to walk alongside adults navigating grief, stress, and major life transitions. Grief, to me, is not limited to the loss of a loved one—it can also mean the loss of identity, relationships, health, or unfulfilled expectations. Simply being present and offering support can be transformative.
Across my clinical experience, I have supported clients of all ages with anxiety, stress, anger management, emotional regulation, social skills, trauma, self-esteem, school issues, parenting concerns, and life transitions. My work has taken place in private practice, public schools, non-profit organizations, and community programs.
Counseling has been a lifelong calling, and I remain committed to continually growing as a clinician to best serve those who entrust me with their care.
