My name is Monica Starovic, LPC. I am also a Professional School Counselor with 26 years of experience working with children of all ages. In my practice, I work with individuals of all ages, and I have always made it my goal to create a safe and supportive environment to help individuals through hard times. Congratulations on starting your journey to better mental health and wellness! It is not easy to ask for help. I applaud you. I am on my grief journey as my father has recently passed. It is a journey that, with help, can bring peace and personal growth.
I have experience helping clients with anxiety/depression, grief, self-esteem issues, stress-related issues, and issues related to change of life. I utilized CBT and solution-focused therapies, focusing on the client’s strengths and respecting your values and cultural background! You are the expert in your own life, and I value autonomy and collaboration to identify and target goals and improve quality of life. Recently, I earned my certification as a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. I approach neurodiversity with strengths- and abilities-based interventions.
