Licensed Psychologist

My story begins in Trinidad and Tobago, where culture, connection, and community shaped the way I see the world. Houston is where I now call home, but my roots remain close and continue to influence the perspective I bring to my therapeutic work. From my earliest years, I knew that supporting others would be at the heart of my practice. Psychology became the path through which I could nurture that passion while relating to others and embracing the nuances of being human.

As a generalist, I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan (ages 3–76), each contributing the mosaic of their story. Every chapter of life offers its own lessons, revealing diversity in how healing can unfold. For some, it begins with a small step, like naming what hurts. For others, it begins when they reconnect with the parts of themselves that have been long neglected. Cultural awareness is essential to my framework, reflecting how identity, history, and lived experience inform the ways people cope, grieve, and grow.

A significant focus of my work is guiding clients through grief and life transitions, helping them uncover the inner resources often hidden in their pain. Life has shown me that grief extends far beyond the death of a loved one. It encompasses the profound sorrow that accompanies life’s changes, disappointments, and evolutions. Grief illuminates the core of our humanity and embodies vulnerability, love, and longing. I help clients honor this depth, welcome it, and reclaim hope, agency, and a sense of wholeness.

To be human is to hold contradictions, such as grief and hope, fear and courage, loss and renewal. In therapy, these conflicts can coexist without judgment, allowing you to accept every part of yourself with care and compassion. I warmly invite you to sit with me and step into a space that holds all of who you are while opening doors to who you are becoming.
