Licensed Professional Counselor

Certifications and/or training: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

My favorite quote is by Audre Lorde, a Black feminist author, who stated, “There is nothing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.” I believe Lorde’s wisdom is a powerful reminder of how important it is to incorporate intersectionality and advocacy into serving clients. It is a reminder that grief comes in many forms, including experiencing the need to shed relationships that don’t honor all of our identities and roles.

My clinical experience has included serving the LGBTQ+ community, individuals who have experienced sexual and/or relationship violence, couples, and adolescents. I believe that anxiety, depression, and any other “negative” emotions people experience are natural reactions to challenging life experiences. I am a huge advocate for befriending your nervous system and teaching clients tools to cope with the natural stressors life presents.

I graduated with a master’s degree in professional and school counseling in 2020, and I have been working with adolescents and adults since 2019. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and I’m currently getting trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Throughout my clinical practice, I have been helping individuals struggling with anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, relationships, and adjustment issues.

My goal is to create an empathetic, brave space to explore emotions and life experiences and take steps towards living your best authentic life that aligns with your values.
