Licensed Psychologist

Certifications and/or training: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

As a Licensed Psychologist, I am passionate about helping individuals who are navigating grief, loss, trauma, and difficult life transitions. My goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, supported, and comfortable being honest about what you are experiencing. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and personal, with room for you to move at a pace that feels right for you.

My own experiences with grief and loss have shaped the compassion I bring to this work. I understand that grief does not follow a predictable path and that there is no single way to move through loss. Whether you are grieving the death of someone you love, working through a traumatic experience, adjusting to a major life change, or simply trying to understand why things feel so difficult, you do not have to navigate it alone.

My education, professional experience, and extensive clinical training guide the care I provide. I use evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), while tailoring treatment to the needs of each individual. DBT can help with managing intense emotions, tolerating distress, strengthening relationships, and developing healthier ways of responding to difficult situations. EMDR can help individuals process painful or traumatic experiences that may continue to affect their emotions, relationships, and daily lives.

I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and families facing grief, trauma, emotional distress, and significant life changes. I do not view grief or trauma as something that needs to be “fixed” or simply gotten over. Instead, I work with clients to better understand what they are carrying, reconnect with their strengths, and develop ways of coping that feel meaningful and sustainable.

I believe one of the most important parts of therapy is the relationship between the psychologist and the person seeking support. I work to create a trusting, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore difficult experiences without feeling pressured to be anywhere other than where you are.

Grief and trauma may become part of your story, but they do not have to determine what comes next. My hope is that therapy gives you the space and support to move forward with greater understanding, peace, and compassion for yourself.
