Licensed Psychologist
Certifications and/or training: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
Hi, I’m a Licensed Psychologist, and I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can be difficult, especially when you’re navigating grief, trauma, or a major life transition. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted for who you are.
I work with adults of all ages and have experience working with trauma and PTSD, substance use, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and LGBTQ+ concerns. I also have a particular interest in supporting military service members, veterans, and their families. I spent four years working with veterans through the VA and later worked at a practice specializing in military and veteran support. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds and through a wide range of challenges. They have also reinforced for me how important it is to understand each person’s individual experiences, values, and goals.
Grief has a special place in my work, both personally and professionally. My own experience with loss has shaped the way I understand grief and the many ways it can affect us. Grief can be unpredictable, and it doesn’t always look the way we expect it to. Some days may feel overwhelming, while other days may bring moments of laughter, connection, or even a sense of normalcy that can feel complicated. There is no right way to grieve, and you shouldn’t have to feel like you need to hide what you’re going through or be “okay” for the sake of others. I want to offer a place where you can be honest about your experience, feel supported in whatever you’re feeling, and begin to find your footing as you move through your loss.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and inclusive. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without fear of judgment. I use evidence-based approaches to guide therapy, while creating a space that is tailored to your individual needs, values, and goals. Together, we can explore what feels most important to you, develop ways to navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful change.
Ultimately, I see my role as walking alongside you. You are the expert on your own life, and my goal is to offer support, perspective, and understanding as you navigate whatever brought you to therapy. Whether you are coping with a recent loss, carrying grief from years ago, working through trauma, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I would be honored to support you as you work toward healing, growth, and a life that feels meaningful to you.
