Licensed Professional Counselor & Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor
Are you struggling with alcohol or other substance use? Having difficulty managing your mood, anxiety, or fear? Is it becoming more difficult for you to maintain positive relationships in your life? Struggling with identity, trauma, shame, or grief? If any of this is true for you, I would love the opportunity to help you resolve past traumas, learn to cope with unexpected loss or life changes, and explore the future.
I’m dually licensed as a licensed professional counselor and licensed chemical dependency counselor. I’m also a National Board-Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF). I have been working with individuals, couples, and families for nearly a decade.
My clinical experience includes inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency and psychiatric facilities, as well as in probation, parole, and correctional facilities. I have a passion for working with clients who are struggling with chemical dependency issues that coexist with mood disorders. Having been personally affected by both, I have a deep understanding of the fear, loneliness, and hopelessness that can overwhelm and even paralyze us.
My clinical approach is client centered and eclectic, including: solution-focused, CBT, mindfulness, DBT, and strengths-based approaches. The most important factor in therapeutic outcomes is the relationship with your therapist. It is important to create a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship that provides an atmosphere for personal exploration, growth, and recovery. I am passionate about getting to fully understand your internal experience and assist you in recognizing your innate ability to create an empowered and authentic life. Are you ready to start unloading that baggage?
