Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate (Supervised by Cortnee Wright, LPC-S)
If you’ve ever gotten to that place of thinking, “I’m just not sure what to do anymore. I’m overwhelmed, and I think I could use some help,” I believe this is one of the most powerful realizations we can have. And to act on that realization takes courage and strength. Being here, on this website, and reading this bio is a testimony to the strength and courage you already possess because you’ve taken that first step. From my experiences of grief, losses, and various changes throughout my life, I am familiar with how challenging it can be to reach out to others when in need. That is why, as a counselor, I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they share their stories and life experiences.
I received my master’s degree in Mental Clinical Health Counseling in 2023. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate supervised by Cortnee Wright, M.A., LPC-S. My role as a counselor is to listen, understand, and provide tools that can potentially lighten the emotional and mental load. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, family conflicts, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and life transitions. I’ve worked with individuals and groups, adolescents (12 years and older), and adults.
The relationship between the counselor and the client is pivotal for establishing trust and for change and growth. Therefore, I approach each client with authenticity and openness. Clients can explore various topics and issues, knowing they are in a safe, inviting space free from judgment. I take a collaborative approach with clients by inviting them to express when something is or isn’t working so we can come up with the best solutions and approaches to their specific concerns. I approach counseling through a trauma-informed perspective and utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me. If interested, I would be honored to meet and walk alongside you in your counseling journey.
