Licensed Professional Counselor
You’re going through something, which is why you’re here. Trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, fear, stress, anger, hopelessness, confusion, or even something you may not fully understand. There could be struggles with self-worth, self-esteem, identity, relationship issues with family or friends, dissatisfaction with a career path, or direction in life. Or, it could be any of these things on top of dealing with our new way of life since the onset of the pandemic. Working together, we will go on a journey and begin the process. The process is your own unique journey through therapy. If you have a problem, I want to help you find the solution. I provide a non-judgmental, unbiased, and safe space for my clients. Trust, respect, and rapport are key to a professional and healthy therapeutic relationship.
Throughout my life, I have always helped people in some capacity; by being a good listener, a friend, or just someone who cared. I have always had a gift of helping others feel at ease. For as long as I can remember, I have been able to get on someone’s level and instinctively know how to proceed with a conversation on a personal and human level. Through my years of life and work experience, further education, training, and professional therapeutic work experience, I now help people to be the best version of themselves. However, part of my journey that brought me to becoming a counselor consisted of various traumas, grief, and significant losses. Unfortunate experience at the time, but it all became vital in helping me become an agent of change. I also have experience being on the other side and reaching out for help. Through my own process, someone once helped me.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years of experience working in a Mental Health setting and 5 years of face-to-face experience working with clients in a therapeutic setting. I have specialized training and certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma and PTSD. From working in an outpatient mental health clinic for the last 4 years, I have experience working with clients with mild to severe mental illness such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, other various mood disorders, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. I also provide psychoeducation regarding diagnoses, skills training, and relapse prevention.
I look forward to working with you. Let’s begin the journey.
