Licensed Professional Counselor
Certifications and/or training: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
As someone who has experienced personally and professionally, I know what it’s like to feel misunderstood, have hurtful things said, or told to “get over it”. These experiences have taught me humility and how to better meet clients where they are, understanding that grief is a unique experience. Choosing to begin therapy is a brave first step in navigating life’s struggles and reaching your full potential.
When individuals come to counseling it is because they want to change something in their lives. Circumstances in one’s life could be resulting in feelings of uncertainty, fear, or anxiety. There could be a need to solve a particular problem, or a desire to gain a greater understanding of oneself. Whatever the reason I applaud you for seeking out support!
My focus is on supporting individuals, using person-centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to help my clients gain practical insight into their situations, regain emotional balance, and identify what they are feeling, why might they be feeling it, and how to cope so the healing may begin.
I put great emphasis on developing a therapeutic relationship with each client I work with to develop a sense of trust. I am a safe environment for you to fall into, but I am also the side of the mirror we often avoid. It is on that other side of the mirror where we may find breakthrough, self-worth, and growth. I am dedicated to fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment for you to work through everything you are feeling to heal and improve your quality of life. Let me provide support during the most challenging times in your life!
